April 3, 2006: Starnews Credit Union unveils new logo and positioning line

After many months of research and gathering input from management, the board, staff and members Starnews Credit Union has unveiled a new logo and positioning line.

"The new logo will allow Starnews Credit Union to stand level with other financial institutions, yet maintain a unique look. We've developed an image for ourselves that is streamlined, professional and will be a solid foundation to build on," says George De La Rosa, General Manager/CEO of Starnews Credit Union.

"The positioning line, "Reach a higher goal", is a promise from Starnews Credit Union to the individual member, that no matter what their goals are, Starnews will be there to help them along the way."

"The logo chosen not only reflects the personality of Starnews, but it speaks to what the credit union can do for the individual member. The logo features a forward moving path that resembles an "S" for Starnews. This path signifies "guidance" and the smooth easy road that lies before the member to get from the start point to the aspirational point. The star is representative of our member's goals and what they are striving for. Although different members have different goals and different sets of criteria, it is the same guiding path and promise from Starnews Credit Union that will help them reach a higher goal."
