March 28, 2006: Starnews has record a number of participants at their Annual General Meeting

Starnews capped a wonderful 2005 fiscal year, with a record number of over 55 members registered for the Annual General Meeting held on March 23, 2006, compared to 25 in previous years.

The Board of Directors shared some of the 2005 accomplishments for Starnews that included:

• Membership growth to 2,859
• Asset growth to close to $35 million
• 10% increase in loans to members
• 20% increase in the total bonus interest and loan rebate amount allocated for members compared to last year
• 88% increase in net income for the year compared to last year

"It has been a great 2005 for Starnews, and looking at the results so far we expect 2006 to be even better", says Glenn Pollinger, President of the Board of Directors.
