Tax-Free Savings Account
When saving to buy large ticket items, every little bit helps. With the new Tax-Free Savings Account all Starnews members have a great way to build savings quickly, while earning a great variable rate on any balance without paying any tax on your earnings.
With a Tax-Free Savings Account you can deposit up to an annual limit and access your money at any time without penalty. And, if you are not able to make the maximum allowable deposit, you can carry forward any uncontributed amounts into the following year and so on. With other savings accounts you would normally be taxed on interest earned or charged to access your savings, the Tax- Free Savings Account cuts all that out, letting your money grow and giving you the freedom to withdraw your money on your own terms. You are free to use the money for whatever you need.
